We got to spend a few fun filled days at my favorite place (other than home). We had a really good time. I wish everyone could have been with us.

Disney Quiz

In my preparation for a trip to Disneyland, I have created a little quote quiz for everyone to enjoy. Name the movie that each quote is from. The person who gets the most will get a treat from our trip. Buena Suerte!

Thanks for participating! I hope you like the quotes.

General Conference Quiz

They posted this quiz on Deseret News today. It seems like a good test of our knowledge.

A Day in Calgary

Sara and I had the day to spend in Calgary. The road our hotel is on, leads you directly into downtown. We happened upon the city during lunch time. It was extremely busy. We headed to the botanical garden, which was a disappointment. We thought it would be like the gardens in D.C. Well it is just like a extra eating area in the mall. We decided to take a stroll down through Stephen Street to the Olympic Park.
Sara walked around the park and took pictures of all the pretty flowers. It felt like a nice fall day. The flowers were gorgeous.
You could see the top of the tower, which was built to hold the torch during the Olympics. It is not the tallest building in the city.
This is the newest building in the city. It is just full of offices. We did decide that the majority of Calgarians live right in downtown. It was packed with people. We haven't seen very many houses outside of the city.

The Olympic park, where they awarded the medals.

We head out for Banff in the morning. I am excited to see the Canadian Rockies. Hopefully, we will have service in Banff so we can blog again.

The Root of the Problem

http://youtu.be/XpaOjMXyJGk
I have been watching this little clip become very trendy on Facebook. I decided to check it out the other night.
What I see, I decided, is the root of many of our problems. We see ourselves in such an unflattering light. I hope we can slowly help ourselves to be kinder about ourselves.

First Temple in Honduras is Dedicated, and Mission Farewell

http://www.ksl.com/?sid=24437107&nid=1016&title=lds-church-leaders-dedicate-first-temple-in-honduras-&fm=home_page&s_cid=featured-4

I am so happy right now. The 12 hour journey that was previously required is now a two hour trip. I have so enjoyed watching the articles on facebook and in the news about the Open House and Dedication. All of the pictures that have been posted by the members are wonderful. It has made me extremely homesick for Honduras.

The Fauverettes, one last picture before our Tenny leaves us. We have some German Exchange Students who arrived this morning. They have assured me that she will LOVE Frankfurt. They said if she can't learn German that everyone will grin and bear her English, how reassuring.
I think this is our first family photo since the 4-H use to take them at the Courthouse. That was many moons ago. I am looking at the pictures and growing very sentimental. I am going to miss Tennyson, but I am so glad the she is going on a mission.

I thought I might post a few pictures of other things that I have been doing. I have become a dedicated Soccer Mom. You guys should know, I love my students so much. I spend my week days with them, and now my Saturdays because Rugby has started. I think I like Rugby more than football.
