That was fun to see all of the familiar things. I don't remember the mummified guy though. I am so glad that you went to the botanical gardens building. The orchid room was very interesting. It looks like you enjoyed it too. It looks like you are having okay weather. You are definately getting some good sights. I hope you get to the rest of the memorials. It is a bit of a hike but so worth it. Be safe and have fun.

Oh won't the precious stones amazing. Did you see the Hope Diamond? I loved seeing all of those jewels.

There was a picture of the Hope diamond above. They had just changed the setting that they had it originally placed in. The jewels were so amazing! It makes we want to start a collection of my own. Tomorrow onto the Art Museum and Air and Space, and Arlington. I'm trying to squeeze it all in before a government shutdown. That would really hinder my stay here.

Wow, you have seen so much of Washington DC. I hope that you are having a great time. My family loved having you and your friend in our home. The jewels and the orchids are amazing. I hope that your Dad is feeling a little more calm about your trip. Stay safe and have fun.
