Okay, I took Leslies advice and I checked Twilight out at the library last night. I finished in the wee hours of the morning. I couldn't put it down. Why does this always happen to me. I make fun of a book and then end up loving it. Why? I can't wait to get to the library and check out the sequels. I can't explain my feelings about the book, but I do think I have a crush on Edward. Is that possible? Oh well. I have to check the quiz answers I will write soon. Les tell me what you think about the other two books.

I am writing this after reading the quiz results. Whats the big idea only Tennyson and Sara. Come on guys you can guess these movies. OH well here it goes.
1. The Gods Must Be Crazy 2. Talking to a baboon about her water can.
2.Back to The Future. Marty Mcfly and George McFly.
3. Lord of The Rings. The Fellowship of the Ring. Bilbo Baggins.
4. John Tucker Must Die. Kate
5. Pure Luck. Martin Shorts character.
6. The Guardian.
7. What's Up Doc

Movie Quotes

Name the movie and if possible the character:

1. All right, you can have this one, but no more! Leave the can! Do you hear me?
you see these? Don't you dare. Don't even think about it. You'll be sorry.

2. Last night, Darth Vader came down from planet Vulcan and told me that if I didn't take Lorraine out that he'd melt my brain.

3. I know I don't look it, but I'm beginning to feel it in my heart. I feel... thin. Sort of stretched, like... butter scraped over too much bread. I need a holiday. A very long holiday. And I don't expect I shall return.

4.Hydrogen and Oxygen walk into a bar and see Gold... they say Au, get outta the bar!

5. If by some miracle you actually have what it takes to become one of us, then you get to live a life of meager pay with the distinct possibility of dying slow, cold and alone somewhere in the vast sea. However, you also get the chance to save lives, and there is no greater calling in the world than that. So, ladies and gentlemen, welcome. Welcome to A- school.

6.I am trained in martial arts. Judo, aikido, karate. The first thing they teach you is self-control. If someone calls you a jerk, you don't him them. You just walk away.
...Ah! See? Complete control.

7. You don't wanna marry someone who's gonna get all wrinkled, lined and flabby!
Everyone gets wrinkled, lined and flabby!
By next week?

These are a very diverse mix of some of my favorite movies. Good Luck

Sound of Music Auditions

Sound of Music Auditions were held tonight at the High School. Tennyson and Banner both had to sing a solo for judges. Tennyson sang Homeward Bound and Banner sang Oh What A Beautiful Morning. They both did a good job.

Quiz Question for Wednesday the 23rd.

This quiz starts today at 10:30am and will end tomorrow at 8:30am. Please click the email link to send me your answer or guess.

1. Who said this? "We bear our souls and tell the most appalling secrets."
2. Who said this? " My life is a perfect graveyard of buried hopes. That's a sentence I read once and I say it over to comfort myself in these times that try the soul."
3.Who said this? " I do not attempt to deny that I think very highly of him - that I greatly esteem him... I like him."

Do your best. If you can add the name of the movie with your answer. Hint: they are all different movies.

Pictures from last Christmas

Sister Becks Talk

I found this post on someone else blog, I have read some of her stuff and I like what she says. I agree with her comments and I want to know what you, my readers, think.

Having been extremely busy the past few days, I now have a stock pile of blog posts saved for slower days to come. I look forward to posting pictures accompanied by comments illustrating the visit we had from the police and firefighters last week. I have a light hearted post planned which spotlights a hideously tragic pair of 1987 shorts which my husband will not part with, even though all signs point to DESERET INDUSTRIES. Today though, I feel I need to document my gratitude for the Lord's counsel.
In case you haven't noticed, I am always considering my role as a mother, mostly because motherhood (for me) often feels complex. I know I am late to the game, and like Wendy, my thoughts are not an address to the offense many have taken to Sister Beck's talk. The purpose of this post is to publicly ( the public being my 5 readers and anyone else who happens to wander upon my blog) proclaim that I now know that I know.
My heart already knew, but sometimes my head was turned by talk of worthwhile activities which I am unable to participate in because of 2 small children and a breastfeeding baby. I've been tempted by voices which tell me to stop breastfeeding, 11 months is long enough. I've been tempted by those who have told me 3 children is more then enough, that I am old, and that my childbearing skills are lacking to begin with. I am tempted by all the 'good' things I could be doing with my time instead of caring for another newborn and devoting myself as a homemaker.
But I know, and now I've been reminded that I know. I don't know if I will regret not having the opportunity right now to read more books, run more miles, see a movie, go to parties, or go on vacations. I know for sure that I will regret not having one more child. I know that I will regret not rising to my full possible stature as a mother. Sister Beck's talk invigorated me. I felt her words were timely. I felt the Lord answering my questions through her. I will proudly wear the title homemaker. Is there anything more important that I could be doing right now?

Besides, I believe some of my homemaking 'fruits' to be beautiful works of wonder.

Can you say "cheese?" Banner getting into the Christmas spirit. Also, have you noticed my cluster map? I got a hit in Finland and Spain, thanks for visiting. I will try and post new pics as they become available. I got a ride home with Les last night, we spent all of today watching movies and getting Lizzies Christmas stuff upstairs. Maybe she won't be so reluctant to get started since we hauled the stuff around for her. I am currently watching "The Santa Clause" with Tennyson and Banner. I have to go to the Sheriffs office this week and get my letter of recommendation for my Visa. Hopefully I pass the test(after all I'm not a terrorist). I enjoyed the weekend in Salt Lake, and I don't think anyone got ill. We may have overeaten but, no flu bug was passed to me. Thanks everyone. See you in three weeks.

I find it rude and almost unforgivable when someone logs onto someonelses blog and messes with their stuff. The contents of a persons blog are personal thoughts and not for others to alter. In the future I hope people use greater caution when playing pranks.

Christmas Tree

We are putting up our Christmas deco today. Mom says we are doing it so that I can have my fill of Christmas things before I leave. I will post some pics later.

"Here's the headline: UTAH DEFEATS BYU IN PROVO, AGAIN . . ."

Reasons The Utes will Win

1. Utah (8-3, 5-2 MWC) finishes regular season this Saturday against No. 23 BYU (8-2, 6-0 MWC) .
2. Utah has won seven straight games and eight of its last nine.
3. Quarterback Brian Johnson is 7-0 since returning to the starting lineup from an injury.
4. Utah is 1-0 against ranked teams this year, beating No. 11 UCLA 44-6. The Bruins beat the Cougars 27-17 on Sept. 8.
5. Utah is waitng to hear the location of its fifth-straight bowl game. Utah has won its past six postseason games dating back to 1999, which ranks as the second-longest current bowl win streak in the nation.
6. Third-year head coach Kyle Whittingham has tied his season win record of eight. Whittingham, has produced a winning record every year, had 8-5 last season after going 7-5 in 2005.
7. Utah leads the all-time series with BYU 52-32-4 (including a 3-3 record when BYU was known as BY Academy). Utah has won four of the last five, and the last two games in Provo.
8. Utah ranks No. 3 in the nation in pass efficiency defense (94.4), No. 5 in scoring defense (15.5) and No. 11 in pass defense (180.7). In addition, the Utes rank No. 6 nationally in opponent third down conversion percentage (28.8%) and are tied for No. 9 in sacks (35). The Utes lead the MWC in all of those categories.

Miranda is this an appropriate rebuttal.

The Holy War

My thoughts today on The Holy War. I am keeping to my goal of wearing red everyday. I have also been reading the stats on the teams. I think that it is going to be a close game, with both teams playing very well, but I pick the U.

No cheating. Just leave a comment with your answer or guess.

Best of Luck! Oh yes and some will question what is in this for me, well I will award little prizes, and if you doubt that I can come up with good prizes, just ask Sara what she got for winning my mission location contest.

These pictures are a year old but I always enjoy seeing them. I really like the train, does anyone remember that day?

Lights Galore

Banner introduced me to some awesome footage. Please enjoy. I hope that our house can one day turn out this great.
Instead of posting the movies on here go to youtube and type in christmas lights. The video will be fun for the kids to watch, I find them very impressive.

I was taking Banner to piano lessons today, and on the way home, I got behind Tiffany Neilson. For some who don't know why this would be significant let me explain. Tiffany got back today from serving a mission in California. I got behind her when she was first driving into Orangeville. Yesterday I passed Misty Heaton, she got home last week from a mission in Boston. It makes the countdown a little more real. I was just a tad emotional when I thought about the day that I get to come home and see Utah again for the first time in almost two years. What a thought.

A Dunder Mifflin Christmas

Friday, November 9, 2007

I am in Salt Lake this weekend, I rode up with Liz yesterday. We came up for Grandpa Fuller's funeral. We went to day Murray Music and I went a little crazy. I have never bought music for myself but I found the Oklahoma book. I bought it. I also found some other classics, Anne of Green Gables, and a Christmas Duetbook. I look forward to sampling a few of these numbers with the family at Thanksgiving. Yes, we are planning on coming up for Leah's blessing. I believe that we coming on Saturday. I am going to ask that everyone rid themselves of the rotovirus before I come up and get infected. Tenny and Banner haven't really talked about Christmas this year, Banner is always pleased with any little thing people get her, but tenny is more difficult. She is currently waiting to hear back from a model contest that she entered. She should know in the next couple of weeks. She always likes a little something to accesorize her outfits. As for myself people ask what I want, but I really am clueless. This Christmas is going to be so different from and that i have experienced. I am looking forward to it, but as the days get closer to me leaving I get really nervous. I am confident that everything will end up being just fine.

**I saw sweet baby Leah yesterday, she is so fun to hold, she actually opened her eyes and looked at me.

Good News

I talked to one of my best friends last night, Nicole Sanders, she told me that she has started her mission papers. I am so excited. I couldn't be more thrilled for her. She says she hopes to leave in January or February. I wish her the best. She will be a great missionary. I can't wait until Lindsay can't join the ranks of those waiting to go on a mission.

Halloween 2007

Tennyson and Banner dressed up as Miss Deseret, and a 50's girl. They did great their recital. Tennyson won a prize for her costume!
